Dear Guests
Please excuse our mess...we are
currently undergoing renovations.
We will be adding
an additional 20 rooms and Event Space that can accommodate up
to 150 people and we anticipate to be completed by Spring
2026.
The Matheson rooms face the construction site
and may be noisy at times during the day, but we will do our
best to help make your stay enjoyable and comfortable.
We
are pretty excited about our renovation project and realize what
an inconvenience it can be, but we feel the end result will all
be worth it.
During construction elevator use will
be limited to hours of operation - Check with front desk
associates for operational hours.
Thank you for your
understanding and patience as we undergo these growling
pains.
Sincerely
The Princess Team
July is Tobermory's peak season — and for good reason. The turquoise water of Georgian Bay is at its warmest, every tour operator and restaurant is fully open, and the long summer days give you more time to explore. It is also the busiest month of the year. Here is everything you need to know, written by a team that has welcomed guests to Tobermory every July since 1977.
July is warm, green, and genuinely stunning. Average daytime temperatures sit between 22°C and 28°C with low humidity — perfect hiking weather. Georgian Bay water temperatures reach 16°C to 20°C by mid-July, making swimming at The Grotto and Singing Sands enjoyable.
The Grotto and Bruce Peninsula National Park: open daily, but timed entry reservations required
•Fathom Five National Marine Park and Flowerpot Island boat tours: running daily
•Chi-Cheemaun ferry to Manitoulin Island: daily crossings in full operation
•Pharos Restaurant at Princess Hotel: open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner
•Glass-bottom boat tours (Bruce Anchor Cruises, Blue Heron Cruises, Tobermory Wave): multipledepartures daily
